Built around Donatello’s genetics.

Donatello is double homozygous for LP and PATN1.

That means he consistently passes the genetic foundation responsible for the distinctive coat patterning he passes to every foal.

27 / 27 foals born with a spotted coat.

Your mare's genetics

White pattern genes

These are separate genes from the Appaloosa pattern. A horse can carry any combination of them, so each is asked and reported on its own. Leave a gene blank if your mare has not been tested for it.

Donatello has tested negative (N/N) for Tobiano, Frame Overo and Sabino 1. He has not been panel-tested for Splashed White (SW1–SW8).

Genotype determines the pattern class, but exact spotting amount and placement varies horse to horse due to additional modifier genes still being studied. This tool shows genetic probability, not a guaranteed exact appearance.
